Alternative Investment Exchange, LLC (“we,” “our” or “us”) recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes our practices regarding the information we collect through our platform (the “Platform”). By accessing or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have received and read this Privacy Policy.


We reserve the right at any time, to modify this Privacy Policy. All such modifications will be effective upon posting the revised Privacy Policy on the Platform and we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically so that you keep up to date on our most current Privacy Policy and practices.


We collect information in two ways: (1) directly from you and (2) automatically as a result of your use of the Platform.

Information collected directly from you. We may collect and retain information directly provided by you. For example, we collect information you give us when you:

  • Complete applications, subscription agreements or other forms through the Platform;
  • Communicate with us, such as to provide feedback, ask for additional information, or make a request;
  • Register for or manage an account with us; and
  • Subscribe to newsletters, email lists or other content that we provide.

We may collect information such as your first and last name, mailing address, email address, telephone number and any other information that you provide to us. You may choose not to provide certain information to us, but doing so may restrict your ability to use the Platform.

Information Collected Automatically. We may also collect certain information through the use of automated means. When you visit or use the Platform, we may collect information such as:

  • Your IP address;
  • The type of browser, devices and operating systems you use;
  • Identifiers associated with the device(s) you use to access the Platform;
  • The pages you visit and the features you use, including dates and times;
  • If you navigated from or navigate to another website and the address of that website; and
  • Information regarding your internet service provider.

We may collect information about your activities on the Platform through the use of cookies, clear GIFs or web beacons, local shared objects or Flash cookies, heat mapping, tracking pixels or google tag manager, or through other identifiers or technologies, including similar technologies, as they may evolve over time. We refer to these technologies collectively as “Data Technologies.”

We may allow third parties, including Google, to use Data Technologies on the Platform. The information collected by Data Technologies may be shared with and used by us, by others acting on our behalf, or by third parties subject to their own privacy policies. Information collected by Data Technologies may be used on this or on other websites or services, including those that may not be operated by us.

Emails. We may collect information regarding the effectiveness of our email and other communications with you. For example, we may know if you open an email we send or follow a link in an email we send to you.


We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the Platform to you and others;
  • Create, administer and maintain your account;
  • Respond to your inquiries related to support and other requests;
  • Operate our business, including administering, maintaining and improving the Platform;
  • Comply with applicable laws and to enforce our policies and End User Access Agreement;
  • Prevent fraud, theft, or injury to you, us, or others;
  • Contact you, including through telephone, fax, text, email or chat; and
  • Perform data analyses or create aggregated data sets combining information about you with that of other visitors to the Platform.


We may share the information we collect (i) as you expressly authorize us to; (ii) as permitted by law; and (iii) with third parties, including:

Service Providers. We may share information with service providers who help us to administer the Platform, provide technical support, or send communications related to our business. These service providers include analytics companies, such as those that provide Data Technologies on the Platform.

Corporate Affiliates and Partners. We may share certain information with our corporate affiliates for their business purposes, to provide services or for marketing purposes.

Business Transfer. We may share information we have gathered about you in connection with the sale or merger of our business or the transfer of assets.

We may also disclose information in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or in connection with any legal process, or to comply with relevant laws. We may also share your information in order to establish or exercise our rights, to defend against a legal claim, or to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities, suspected fraud, safety of person or property, or a violation of our End User Access Agreement.


We take measures designed to secure and protect information transmitted via or stored on the Platform. Despite these measures, we cannot guarantee the security of networks, servers and databases we operate or that are operated on our behalf or that the information you transmit to us over the Internet will not be intercepted, deleted or altered.

Please assist us in protecting your information. If a password is used to help protect your account and information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do not share this information with anyone and please notify us if you believe that your password has been stolen or might have otherwise been misused.


You may limit and control the information provided to us in a number of ways; however, you may not be able to use all features of the Platform if you limit the information you share with us.

Account Information. You may correct, update or delete certain of the information contained in your account by logging in to your account and editing your information, but doing so may restrict your ability to use the Platform. Note that we may keep historical information in our backup files as permitted by law.

Emails. You can stop receiving promotional emails by submitting a request to the address in the “Contact Us” section below or following the unsubscribe instructions in e-mails that you receive. Clicking on an unsubscribe link will take you to a webpage where you can complete the opt-out process. If you decide not to receive promotional emails, we may still send you transactional communications, such as those about your account.

Cookies. Your browser and your device may provide you the option to limit the use of cookies or other Data Technologies. You should refer to your web browser’s or mobile device’s options or settings menu for more information about adjusting your settings. Disabling or rejecting cookies may disable some of the features and functionality of the Platform.

Google Analytics. California and Delaware law require us to indicate whether we honor “Do Not Track” settings in your browser concerning targeted advertising. At this time, there is no worldwide uniform or consistent industry standard or definition for responding to, processing, or communicating Do Not Track signals.
